Pun Fun Bookmark

So one weekend a while back, Yi-Li and I were bored and decided to have a little creative competition. For some reason we settled on making bookmarks. This is what I ended up with. I stamped/embossed/coloured in two pieces of card stock and punched out the stars. I put a piece of metallic cardstock in between just for fun. I thought it looked pretty good!

Then I saw what Yi-Li came up with.....

I mean, that's just not fair! He free-handed this bunny bookmark on some DSP using Paper Snips. My only consolation is that mine was sparkly. lol.

Lady bug card

This card just makes me so happy! I made it with the Circle Scissors Plus and the Circle Circus stamp set.

Procrastination...

So...my attempt to post more frequently didn't go so well last month. What do they say? It takes at least 6 weeks to break or form a new habit? Anyways, I will try to post more frequently. I promise. For real this time. :)

Halloween Monkey!

We're did this card at my September workshop. I love the sock monkey set and he just looks so cute as a Halloween Bunny! I love the versatility of the Sock Monkey set, don't be surprised if you see a Christmas Sock Monkey. :) I also ran the orange background through the Big Shot with a texture plate just to give it a bit of pizzaz.

Belated posts!

July & August were the busy busy months for me personally and at work! Still....hard to excuse not posting for two WHOLE months. EEP!

I'll be posting the pics of the cards and other projects that I worked on. I promise to post more frequently in the future. :)

To start us off....I made this card for a friends birthday, and I just love the way it looks. Some of the items (the paper and Baja breeze ink) are no longer available, but this card is really easy to swap colour palettes.

June Workshop - Card #3

My favourite card of the moment. It just looks so crisp and clean with a nice shot of colour from the ribbon. I made it as a birthday card, but it can easily be converted to a different card. My silly corner rounder punch is loose though, so it was a bit annoying doing the corners. Luckily I think I've fixed it (plus ordered a backup...just in case) so we should be able to pull this card out without major problems at the workshop!

June Workshop - Card #2

I love how this card turned out! I'm still playing around with the background but I just love how the flower turned out. My friend Jess and I had lots of fun playing with the "Pick A Petal" stamp set.
